Val Kells is a full-time, highly trained, freelance scientific illustrator with
over 18 years of professional experience. Val works closely with educational,
design, and curative staff to produce accurate and aesthetic scientific and
interpretive illustrations. Val's work is specialized, flexible, and serves a precise
niche in the interpretive exhibit industry. She has created hundreds of illustrations for
a wide diversity of clients including publishers, designers, master planners, museums,
nature centers and public aquariums. A large portion of her work is
dedicated to providing illustrations for permanent and temporary
exhibits in public aquariums.
